Vote tonight to authorize our Select Board to seek permission from the state so we can write a future by-law affecting residences and businesses to adhere to some form of Anticoagulant Rodenticide restriction.

The town voted overwhelmingly to restrict AR’s on municipal property last May. Both town and 2 of 3 schools are now free of AR’s *. In order to effectively manage Maynard’s rodent issues, residences and businesses also need to change methods. Rodent control is vital, and there are safer and more effective ways to do it.

Come to town meeting tonight to vote your preference to affect townwide AR use. And take the next step toward restoring safe habitat while getting rid of dangerous rodents.

*Greenmeadow still lists an sgar, but has not used it since April.
